Cannabis oil hits high street stores

wipedmag

That’s right! Extracts of cannabis (CBD oil) have made their way into high street stores, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett, and it's only a matter of time until it will be in every drugstore. Brands like Revolution and Milk Makeup have added cannabis infused products like face masks onto their lines.

CBD (cannabidolis) is a chemical compound found in cannabis that is believed to have medical and skincare benefits - one being that it contains Vitamins A, C and E. According to Dr Jaliman, Vitamin A keeps skin firm and healthy, Vitamin C helps reduce signs of ageing and Vitamin E helps to slow down the aging process. CBD oil can also help breakouts due to its ability to alter how the body produces the oily substance, sebum.

Feeling apprehensive? Cannabis oil cannot get you high as it's sourced from a different part of the plant. The product is sourced organically and has a continuous number of studies behind it.

Please note that with any new product you decide to try, everyone's skin is unique and may react in different ways. So, will you be jumping onto the latest skincare trend?

Here are a few recommended products to sample:

Revolution skin nourishing oil

This can be found in Superdrug and has been described on the website to ‘help calm and soothe skin prone to dry patches and sensitivity’. The product can be applied by simply massaging a few drops into the skin. It is also cruelty free and vegan friendly, priced at £9.99.

Milk make-up kush high volume mascara

‘Plant-derived oil fuses heart-shaped fibres to lashes for thickness without the fallout.’ Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, what more could you want? This product can be bought directly from Milk’s website and is priced at $24 dollars which converts to £18.45.

Disciples skincare ‘Miracle drops’

This oil, priced at £30, has been praised to help muscle aches, remove blemishes and revitalise skin. The product can be found on the Cult Beauty website, stating that our skin has ‘native receptors for cannabis extracts’ which means our body acknowledges the receptors quickly and can start to work immediately.

Do note that with any product you decide to try, everyone's skin is different. CBD oil, one of the latest new skincare trends, is worth the try and well worth the buy with promised results and user-generated reviews.
